Do you (or anyone else) think we would be in worse shape than we are now, if Kerry would have won? I don't think so. I voted for Kerry. This from a Ronald Reagan Republican.
Pabst--- This may come as a shock to you but, there's a lot more to our society than a dollar. You heard of the "war" in Iraq?
Now that you put it that way, I'm going to find a tall building to jump from .... living under this nazi regime ... the horror ... the horror what are the odds-on the Democrats picking NOTHING up in the next two years? shut-out in the House/Senate/Presidency? Carville has suggested that would force them to re-evaulate why they exist at all. As much as I'd like to see a return to a system of checks-and-balances, could you see your-self pulling the lever for a Democrat?? I have trouble imagining myself doing so.
I don't mean to sound like an uncaring prick but I'm not in Iraq. I had years where I was negative several hundred thousand and barely living off skid row and you know what? No one gave a fuck about the predicament of Pabst. There's many who oppose the war for humanitarian reasons and yet root/hope that some guy taking risk in the oil industry goes broke. So much for peace and love. I have my own axes to grind. For every kid killed in Iraq (and I will add, NEEDLESSLY killed there) 40 or so will live, come back to the States and prosper because he served our Nation in Iraq. Life is ironic, cruel and short.
