am not close enough therefore will take your word on it, but that's why i am pitching an Obama + McCain ticket... not an Obama + John Doe Dem tkt... see, i don't believe in a wishy-washy type centrist "personality" + his sidekick... but in a team with 2 guys who can talk turkey, any time... as for Libertarians, v.nice... like a lot of ppl on this board i've had my anar-cap days... u know, this stuff was invented long ago in Europe, before Ayn Rand and this total tosser Rothbart started getting some attention... only problem is, any such group of more than a couple hundred members invariably implodes under ego-type pressures... by construction... good luck with it if that's the foundation u want to rebuild America on, ala Ron Paul
Im no Hillary fan but can somebody name me something meaningful Obama has submitted to the Senate? Does he have any bills, accomplishments? anything? Didn't the Dems. already go through this with Edwards? Unless im missing some important piece of leg???
refresh my memory plse, did Bush have anything to show? did he get elected? is this THE criterion that's closest to the american voter's heart???
Bush had been a successful governor of an important state, which is far more relevant to being chief executive than serving in the Senate. Voters tend to sense that as well, which is why sitting Senators are 0-41 since 1960 in presidential runs. BTW, what has Hillary done in the Senate that was so important?
Yup, People do not even realize that under Giuliani, the police force has an open ticket to do whatever they want. Whatever convictions for stepping over the line (like sodomizing innocents with broom handles) the police officers received, were all negated by Giuliani's pardons. The police can never cross the line under him. There were endless examples, there still are, since his legacy left a mark on the NYC police due to the people he put in power. He is the ideal president for a police state, and that is exactly what's going to happen. It is unfortunate, but many blue states like him, so he has a good chance to win. Everyone is too confused by the headlines, but few want to do any real research. The whole myth of cleaning up NYC and bringing back economic vitality is pure BS. The fact is that his "Broken Windows" tactic had little effect on the druglords and the gangs, who are too smart for that idiocy. It is the same movement that happened in LA around the same time. And the same thing that is happening in Baltimore right now. Taking those not economically viable anymore and locking them up in prison. No real police work, no attempt at economic revitalization of the blue collar work force, no effort at education or even infrastructure work. They let the global corps export the jobs and label the new unemployed as criminals and hoodlums. I actually see a possibility of national detention and prison camps under his presidency. And that's scary.
Well, ignoring the fact that they have opposing views on just about everything, they are in different parties. Besides, McCain won't take second fiddle to anyone. He'll be 72, and he wants to be Prez, not VP
they're doing a pretty good job at working together for guys who've got opposing views on just about everything... as to who's fittest to be Prez, lets wait & see...
How are they working together? Haven't you heard what Obama has to say about mccain's war views? Gimmie a break. Those two would NEVER be on a ticket together. A leftist war protestor with a Republican Hawk? Nope.
