Newt just managed to spin the "open marriage" thing into a positive.

I'm fascinated by your ability to contruct an argument that supports your conclusions. Thinking people are inclined to go about it the other way around.

There is a difference. We tend to weight things more heavily in the present then in the past. Those democrats had the scandal going on at that EXACT time. This scandal with Newt is 15 years old.

The media pulled the same stunt on Rand Paul describing an event where he smoked pot in college and kidnapped some sorority girl. That was over 20 years ago! And yet they brought it up night after night after night. Now, had he done that last month, sure, report it, it's newsworthy I guess. That's the difference.

Wasn't it the ex-wife who decided to come forward? Should the media have ignored her timing for the good of Newt and all that is holy?

Say what? Rand Paul kidnapped a girl? And all Atlas did was shrug?

    That's just laughable.

We had a Democrat president that lied to the people on national TV, cheated on his wife in the Oval Office and was impeached by Congress. And the stupid Demcraps still love him.

And now we have a president that has ties to terrorists, spent 20 years in the pews of a black liberation theologist and listened to racist hate speech for all those years and spends hundreds of billions of taxpayer dollars to reward his donors. I could go on.

Yes, I figured an S-hole like you would have a spare lying around, so why duplicate? We're a frugal lot.

Well, first of all, ex-wives are probably the "least" reliable source you can find for anything. Max is right about that. Ever hear the phrase "Hell hath no fury as a woman scorned"? This woman's story has not been corroborated by anyone. I tend to believe her for the record. But digging up an ex-wife's bitter feelings from 15 years ago and present that as breaking news in a politcal primary is pretty bad. Now if one of the candidates wanted to bring it up, that's fair game. But for the media to spend time, especially opening the debate with this, well, that's just pathetic. And yes, what the media did to Rand Paul was pretty pathetic too. Chris Mathews I swear to God presented that as a lead story for 5 nights straight. A lead story!
