Newt Gingrich is the only House Speaker ever to be reprimanded for ethics violations

  1. A blast from the past to be sure but relevant regarding this liar/cheater:

The House voted overwhelmingly yesterday to reprimand House Speaker Newt Gingrich (R-Ga.) and order him to pay an unprecedented $300,000 penalty, the first time in the House's 208-year history it has disciplined a speaker for ethical wrongdoing.

The ethics case and its resolution leave Gingrich with little leeway for future personal controversies, House Republicans said. Exactly one month before yesterday's vote, Gingrich admitted that he brought discredit to the House and broke its rules by failing to ensure that financing for two projects would not violate federal tax law and by giving the House ethics committee false information.

"Newt has done some things that have embarrassed House Republicans and embarrassed the House," said Rep. Peter Hoekstra (R-Mich.). "If [the voters] see more of that, they will question our judgment."

When the hell is Obama going to be reprimanded and fined for ethics violations?
  3. Relax, he is the favor of the week. He is DOA. The GOP will be putting up Romney to face Obama. This is just drama.
  4. If they were going to do that they would have done it already. To many of the GOP faithful, Romney's religion might as well be Voodoo...not to mention their hatred for

So, I will respectfully disagree with your assertion that it's a done deal. Besides, my candidate may have a little something to say about how things pan out.
  5. Can you name one ethics violation, and cite the authority that establishes this as same.

I have not heard any documented violations. I'd be interested in knowing any that are factual and have been documented.

  6. Starting wars without congress' approval, assasinating u.s. citizens, military operations in countries we are not at war with, Solyndra, too many crooked dealings with the stimulus to count. multiple congressman bribed to vote for his healthcare bill, operation fast and furious, least transparent government in history when he promised the opposite, the list goes on and on why dont you pay attention instead of worshipping the ground he walks on <s>iceman1</s> shithead1.

You haven't "heard any" because you're not listening. You voted Obama and have stated you'll do it again. You're biased, not objective.

"In fact, Michelle's job as a community organizer at the hospital appears to be one created purely as an act of political patronage. Her starting salary of $121, 910 suddenly leaped to $316, 962 once her husband was elected as U.S. senator from Illinois. One of Barack's first acts in the Senate was to provide a million-plus dollar earmark to Michelle's employer. There is no evidence to support the idea that Mrs. Obama actually supervised any staff in this position, which was so vital to the hospital that it was eliminated once Michelle no longer needed the income."
  8. Well, one thing I do know about Obama... it was HIS administration that killed the guy who was behind the 9/11 attacks. What was that guy's name???! That is just a fact whether you like it or not. Just like it's a fact that Bush-league got us into another b.s. War!

    And it's 1-2-3 what are we fighting for... don't ask me, I don't give a damn.... next stop is V i e t Nam
  9. i didn't vote for Obama

i do live in Illinois though, do you think he can get me a higher paying job too, something like community organizer for OWS?!!
