Newspaper Publishers VS Unemployment

A little bird told me that when unemployment goes up, news paper revenues go up because more people are using the classifieds.

Anyone have a list of the major newspaper publishers in the US?

Did that CooCoo Bird also tell you that if Employers are not hiring in the US then the classified page will be empty ?

Less classified listing by companies means less revenue for the newspaper.

 

doubt that dynamic holds true like it did in the past, too many net surfers now.
