Two Maine news anchors resigned together at the end of Tuesdayâs broadcast after âa longstanding battle with upper management over journalistic practicesâ including being expected to do politically unbalanced news, the Bangor Daily News reported. Cindy Michaels and Tony Consiglio announced at the end of WVII-TVâs 6 p.m. newscast that it would be their final broadcast together. âAnd finally tonight, this will be Tony and my final show together here on ABC 7,â Michaels said. âThe last six years have been an interesting and enjoyable time for both of us as we have been the longest running news team in Bangor.â Consiglio said âsome recent developments have come to our attention though and departing together is the best alternative we can take.â The Daily News reported both anchors were frustrated with the way they were told to do their jobs. âI just wanted to know that I was doing the best job I could and was being honest and ethical as a journalist, and I thought there were times when I wasnât able to do that,â Consiglio said. Michaels, also the stationâs news director, cited a âconstant disrespecting and belittling of staffâ and âa lack of knowledge from ownership and upper management in running a newsroom to the extent that I was not allowed to structure and direct them professionally.â She also said they were âexpected to do somewhat unbalanced news, politically.â Neither one said which political leaning that was. http://www.theblaze.com/stories/new...n-air-told-to-do-unbalanced-news-politically/
Good for them! Their journalistic integrity will land them a job at Fox News somewhere. No worries. Kudos!

Which one? AK has his head up his ass, but Covertibility is just a shill. He likes to run in, throw a couple of videos or slanted articles, then run out when the questions come. The trick is to recognize him for a drive by troll, and laugh at the content AND the poster, and then move on.
