Newby question: I am trying to locate the option quote online for the ETF EEM. On www.cboe.com I find none. However I also checked for EFT for Japan EWJ and found it quoted. What is it I do not understand - don't all stocks, ETF's have option quotes - or do I not understand how to find them? Thank you.
No. Try JPN for Japan Index on CBOE. Many of the ETF's are still in their infancy and options aren't activly traded or even offered at present time. ETF's are still new and yes they are optionable, but not all have options trading at present time.
Not all ETF's have options on them nor is there a requirement that they do. EEM does not have options from what I can see.
