I have traded equities for a while but am totally new to forex trading. Two questions first: 1. Is there a liquidity/slipage issue with forex trading? If yes, at what order sizes does it become an issue? lets only talk about major currencies. 2. What's the typical execution time? Any other advises are appreciated.
1. Depends on brokarage service and market conditions. In Metatrader 4 trading platform you can set the maximum size of available slippage. 2. Again, it depends on brokarage service and market conditions. If the market is quet then 1-2 sec, if market is crazy time of execution can be longer to 10 sec.
