I have got a strategy that appears to work in the demos but I need to try it in the live environment.

I just need a broker that I can open an account with for £500 and a platform that does what I need whilst being straight-forward to use.

I'm just using the Trade Interceptor android app and it looks much better than the PC version. Only problem is, it doesn't appear to be updating my charts.. =/

I apologize for giving you real advice. Go buy trading books up to $250 and stop getting advice from hobbyists. The futures market is way to leveraged for such a small account, and the one you can afford run B-books that will run you to the ground.
Save at least $25K then you will start with some hard work behind you, education and a real chance.

I certainly don't consider myself a pro, but I have to be honest that considering the zero sum game that is most trading, anyone being truthful would have to desire new entrants to the business.

If you want to earn dividends and stock gains through buybacks, by all means act like a good person.

But if you trade on the greater fool theory or profit from shorts, you (and I) are cold blooded. I have no problem with it, but I do wish it was more widely agreed upon. There's no way I get money unless I take it from someone else.

You're making presumptions regarding your 'believe' statement. I'm prepared to lose the money, which is why it's such a small amount. I'm simply intrigued by the idea of trading which is why I want to have a go.

We are on the same page. I am by no means a "pro" with some HFT code rather a well studied trader and one that reviews his trading almost weekly. Most traders rather have a curiosity relationship with the market, and are willing to pay the price for it without being well prepared. As you stated we do rely on them, to repeat the habitual behavior that is inconsistent with market behavior.

Why have such an attitude? Show me ONE successful business man that gets into a business that is willing to lose anything for the sake of trying or because he is intrigued.."Sorry, but I am out!" Take your time and learn, you are up against the best of the best.

Just repaying the attitude that you gave, that's all. I'm not going to rush into anything, I am taking my time to learn. I'm not going crazy with this which is why I'm using such a small amount to begin with.
