This is a common newbie question but I'm looking to open a futures discount broker account that can handle the CBOT, CME, NY Merc, NY Coffe & Sugar Ex, and the NY Commodity Ex. I know firms like Refco handle all these, but is there a cheaper discount firm that does also? (I was hoping to use IB put they don't seem to handle all of the exchanges above. Any input is appreciated. p.s. I'm getting mentored on the trades, so that's why I don't need a Pro firm. Paul H.
IB offers all the exchanges except the NY CSC (coffee,sugar,coca) However you can trade coffee and sugar through LIFFE. With the LIFFE being a electronic your probably better of with trading there anyways.
