Manhattan federal court Judge Lewis Kaplan told jurors their identities would remain anonymous if they were selected. He advised them not to tell each other their real names. They will be escorted to and from the courthouse by U.S. Marshals while the case plays out. Trump brutally raped E. Jean Carroll in 1990s, her lawyer tells jury NEW YORK — Donald Trump slammed E. Jean Carroll against a wall in a New York department store in the mid-1990s, raped her, and then sought to “destroy and humiliate” her when she came forward, a Manhattan jury heard in opening arguments Tuesday in a civil rape case against the former president. Delivering opening arguments, Shawn Crowley described her client's encounter with Trump in the spring of 1996, which began as Carroll was walking out of Bergdorf Goodman in Midtown Manhattan. “They started chatting. Trump asked Ms. Carroll to help him pick out a gift for a woman. She agreed, thinking it would make for a funny story,” Crowley said. After making their way up to the empty sixth floor to the lingerie department on the escalators, Trump walked over to the counter, picked up a lace bodysuit, and tossed it to Carroll. Crowley said they joked about trying it on. “Still laughing, they moved to the dressing room, with Carroll thinking, he might actually try on this lingerie,” Crowley said. “The moment they went inside, everything changed. Suddenly, nothing was funny. Donald Trump slammed Ms. Carroll against the wall. He pressed his lips against hers. She struggled to break free but couldn’t. Trump was almost twice her size. He held down her arm, pulled down her tights and then he sexually assaulted her,” Crowley said. “He was a big man — had easily 100 pounds on her. And he was determined,” Crowley later said, describing the sexual assault and rape in graphic detail. 'Fish or cut bait': Judge tells Trump's lawyer to decide if he's testifying in E. Jean Carroll case At the close of the first day, as Trump's lawyer Joe Tacopina finished his opening statement, Judge Lewis Kaplan asked if the defendant would be testifying. Understandably, having the president in a courtroom adds many security concerns that must be considered. Given the trial is expected to go for five to ten days, it would create a tight timeline for the Secret Service to coordinate. “The answer is: I’m not sure, your honor," Tacopina said when asked if Trump would appear. “You’re going to have to tell me — this week," Kaplan said simply. “Fish or cut bait.”
I just used Google's new chat AI Bard to summarise this PDF from tbe link. Fairly impressive. https://cdn.factcheck.org/UploadedFiles/Johnson_TrumpEpstein_Lawsuit.pdf In the summer of 1994, a 13-year-old girl named Katie Johnson traveled to New York City in the hope of starting a modeling career. She was told by a woman who introduced herself as Tiffany that she could be introduced to people who could help her if she attended parties at a New York City residence owned by Jeffrey Epstein. Johnson attended four of these parties, and at each one she was sexually abused by Epstein and Donald Trump. On the fourth and final occasion, Trump tied Johnson to a bed, exposed himself to her, and then proceeded to forcibly rape her. Following the rape, Trump threatened Johnson that if she ever revealed the details of the assault, her family and she would be physically harmed. Johnson also alleges that Epstein raped her on two occasions. The lawsuit was filed in 2016, but was dismissed by a federal judge in 2017. Johnson has since appealed the dismissal.
While I tend to believe most of the allegations against Donald Trump in regards to sexual misconduct based on the evidence & information which has been presented --- this particular allegation from "Katie Johnson" is the one that I believe is not supported by the evidence. There are too many inconsistencies in her allegations presented in her lawsuit -- and some of the alleged dates/times Donald Trump was obviously in other cities. This particular suit (unlike others) is just an attempted financial shakedown in my opinion. Not that I don't believe Donald Trump would have sex with a minor -- I simply don't believe this particular suit is believable based on the presented information.
If there was anything even a smidge credible about this bogus rape allegations, this E. Jean Carroll clown, would have filed a criminal case and have had herself medically examined the day of the alleged crime. Why didn't she? It is bogus that is why. When this trial is over, I will urge President Donald Trump to sue her civilly for no less than $100 million. All this nonsense needs to be put to rest and those making accusations need to be prosecuted for their lies!
If Trump had any credibility whatsoever in denying the rape allegations then he would submit his DNA to have it tested. Trump has the worst lawyers (you get what you pay for) --- and he is on the verge of losing this case.

I am comparatively learned on the topic as I was running AI backed trading from 2016 to 2020 when I retired from trading after reaching my number. Just this morning I was doing tests with Bard and asked it about the prevalence of a certain philosophy in a book I'm an expert in. It agreed the book carried this philosophy and quoted passages to support it's assertions. Passages that are not in the book. On querying why I can't find them it apologised and said they were from a different text. They are not in that either. They are not anywhere, I just did metacrawler searches on systems that have full access to most university libraries. The text cannot be found anywhere, the thing created a conversation between characters. That is concerning as it seems very prone to try and satisfy the query by any means necessary sometimes. I messaged the author's estate who I know to check if any of the foreign language translations were altered and this is a strange artifact of being translated back into English but it's seems wholly unlikely.
