Shortly Trump's lawyers will have gag orders as well. And Trump's lawyers once again will be needing lawyers.

Trump's Lawyers Attack Judge's Clerk. Again.
    They just can't help themselves.

During the testimony of Eric Trump in today's fraud trial in New York, Trump's lawyers attacked Judge Engoron's clerk again.

Trump has already been sanctioned twice by the judge for targeting his clerk, with a warning that if he does it again, he will likely face jail time. With Trump not attending his trial this week, his lawyers decided to do it for him.

Things got contentious when the prosecutor began to emphasize the number of times Eric Trump pled the 5th in his deposition. At one point, Trump's abrasive lawyer Christopher Kise made a comment about the Judge's law clerk, which resulted in the judge pounding his fist on the table.

Kise then absurdly claimed that he has a "First Amendment right" to criticize the judge's clerk. (Lawyers do not have a right to say whatever they want during a trial). Kise then said that he couldn't possibly be a misogynist since he was "happily married" and had a 17 year old daughter.

Alina Habba then chimed in to claim that the reason why they were attacking the clerk was because it appeared to them that the judge was just doing whatever his clerk told him to do. That didn't seem to make things better.

    For some reason.

Judge Engoron warned Trump's attorneys: "Do not refer to my staff again. She's a civil servant."

Every lawyer who has ever hung up a shingle knows that the very last thing you ever want to do is upset or attack a judicial assistant or court clerk. Team Trump simply doesn't understand the most basic things you need to do to win an argument with persuasion in a court of law. Any court of law.

    Or they simply don't care.

  5. Here we were thinking we were going to learn of the great business skills of the Trump family , that they were 'self made' and how they built a great company , ran educational universities , airlines , wrote great books……. The list is endless.

That they were going to make America Great Again and we were going to be so 'Tired of Winning.' Some were even suggesting that Junior was going to be President of The United States someday.

Turns out they didn't know shit...
    the world is laughing.:(.

Trump’s sons blame accountants for exaggerating dad’s net worth by billions

NEW YORK — Donald Trump’s eldest sons testified back-to-back at the family’s fraud trial in Manhattan Supreme Court on Thursday — both denying involvement in statements that exaggerated their father’s net worth by billions despite evidence to the contrary.

Replacing his brother in the witness box shortly before noon, Eric Trump testified that he didn’t know “anything” about his dad’s financial statements until the New York attorney general brought the case on trial — but later said he “absolutely” did.

“I didn’t know anything about it until this case came into fruition,” Eric testified. “I had no involvement and never worked on my father’s statement of financial condition.”

But pressed on his knowledge of the statements’ existence about 45 minutes into his testimony, he appeared to lose his cool.

“We’re a major organization, a massive real estate organization. Yes, I’m fairly sure we have financial statements,” he testified, sounding sarcastic. “Absolutely.

Trump reacts to his sons' testimony in fraud trial: 'So sad to see them persecuted'

“As a trustee, I have an obligation to listen [to] those who are expert — who have an expertise of these things,” Trump Jr. said.

Eric Trump, who is Donald Trump's second son, also denied involvement, testifying that he “never had anything to do with the statement of financial condition.”

In a post to Truth Social this Thursday, the former president reacted to the testimony of his sons.

"So sad to see my sons being PERSECUTED in a political Witch Hunt by this out of control, publicity seeking, New York State Judge, on a case that should have NEVER been brought. Legal Scholars Scream Disgrace!" Trump wrote.

I think there is a lot of contamination is this Trump case
Enough to be an issue for the appeal

AG James could care less about the forthcoming appeal. She will dirty this case as much as she can because all she wants is damages before the election. The appeal will takes years

The US Supreme Court when these cases are appealed should consolidate them all and give one ruling to dismiss all the charges and cases and scold and reprimand the lower judges for wasting precious US tax dollars on political attacks via lawsuits.

Both of you are living in a world devoid of reality. AG James firmly has the law on her side -- the Trump organization has obviously committed fraud for years. Trump can appeal all he wants, it will not change the result. In fact in New York State it is likely the next level court will simply reject the appeal -- because there are no reasonable grounds for an appeal.

Likewise there will be no consolidation of cases in front of the U.S. Supreme Court. The cases in New York and Georgia are state level cases -- they are not in the federal court system. The federal cases involving the failure to return classified government documents in Florida is distinct and separate than the January 6th federal case in D.C.

I know right-wingers like to fantasize that these cases will magically be overturned after somehow being appealed to the conservative U.S. Supreme Court -- but it simply is not going to happen. Anymore than over 50 court cases filed by Trump & associates were able to overturn the election. In both scenarios the truth and facts are not aligned with the Trump MAGA crowd -- a group that continually peddles absurd fantasies and conspiracy theories that have no basis in fact.
