New WTC? That would be nice.

I don't know about 220 floors like the picture shows, but I do think it should be something spectacular to marvel at.

it would be a tough project -- nyc is way beyond broke, with deficits of 6 billion (!) projected for next year. Private development might be difficult from the public goodwill standpoint, apart from the incredible costs.

and that is before you ask who would occupy it - might be uncertain whether you'd get tenants to rent in a new 100-story terrorist's bullseye...

 

What, you don't have confidence in our new federalized airport security personnel?
