I just took the above readers advice because I do not bullshit too often and I just did serious side by side comparisons and was convinced he is off his rocker. but I just went to a cite that compared the technology. apparently lcd is much better for still images but plasma is a little better for moving images. And I will bet that because of some new lcd technology the saleman had no problem saying lcd is better and will replace plasma.
