New Trader Seeks some advice(not one of those ill pay you xxx/hr to help me threads

    Father traded bonds, and no I am not in the pits, I am in the building but over the screens. Bond pits are pretty quiet anyways seeing as almost all the volume is over the screen now.

    Yea those pits are pretty empty, i was thinking you were in the option pits.

    try his vocation.

    i think your wasting your time in these markets.

    your young enough to start a career in a proper job with a paid salary.

    forget this business.

    its full of pretty much idiots , washed up floor traders and wanna be screen traders who last about two years with no salary.

    go see the world and come back in a few years.

    Haha that may be some of the most sound advice given in this thread yet, but once you're in you're hooked. I have been around the markets for as long as i can remember, and worked in them now for about 5 years. I am aware of the ups and downs and I know although it may not work out, it is better to try and fail then to have never tried and only wondered what could have been.

    Read a lot to create context, try different approaches to trading and keep working to get better.
