Is there a resource that will have the basic programming language and calculations for creating a moving average, regression channel etc.?
Anyone have these calcs already for Excel? Is there a web site that will have most of them already saved in an Excel file?
Tone of them. Just google it. Something like "moving average formulas for excel" for search. Besides, in excel itself there is a library of formulas ready to use.
If you can't create a moving average in Excel, you probably shouldn't be developing a system in Excel. Of course other technical indicators are more difficult. A good place to go is xltraders group on Yahoo. http://groups.yahoo.com/group/xltraders/ In the files section, they have indicator spreadsheets that should be of help.
