I am new to the automated trading idea. I have been using ThinkorSwim's new WizardLab and it's ok (only because its the only one I've used and I have a TD Ameritrade account). I have noticed that the backtesting results are way off compared to the results I am getting on my paper trading account.

ThinkorSwim's platform is extremely easy to use, plus they have have a sort of preset formulas for people like me who are not good with C++ type entries.

But, I am wondering if there are better services out there? If so, what one's and are they user friendly for newbies like me, or do you have to have a wealth of knowledge in building algorithms? Also , what trading platforms are best?

    Thank you ahead of time.

Try CoolTrade, they are connected to TD Ameritrade and in developing strategies use a point and click interface, perfect for newbies.
