New Tech Products Mean New Tech Jobs

  1. Without the foreign workers, it/engineering would still be a decent field, and pay would be fine. Wage supression exists more strongly in tech/engineering than any other field.

Pay level in any field is no different than a stock price. Government dumps supply, price goes down. That simple.

Foreigners train for tech, because there really is no risk. They know that American companies will lay off Americans to make room for them when they graduate.

When Americans graduated in the 1980s, if there was no room, tough luck! The experienced people kept their jobs, and the new graduates never started heir career.

  2. Mr Yellow AOL Man,

CHILL! i was NEVER a wanna-be tech guys. I was mildly interested in tech about 8yrs ago. But my professional career has always been in the financial industry.

    :p

But yes, I understand your point about companies requiring their candidates to know the latest tech and have 1yr exp even though that tech might have only came out 6 months ago..

    Points taken.
