Now, do you want me to continue, or can you do some research yourself and come to your own conclusion as to what Mr surf knows, and does not know. I already know, and that is from reading between the lines of some of his posts, as there was no need for me to read anymore once I understood. Mr surf has a good deal of experience with medium to long term trading/investing, based mostly on selective TA methods used by many of the good "professionals" - I would consider Mr Haggerty a "good professional", and to compare, I would not consider Larry Levin to be one! Mr surf has very limited experience with short term trading, and in case no one has noticed, he has not written a book about this, nor do I think he ever will. If I have to continue any further, I will be sending Mr surf an invoice for commission
Seen as Mr Haggerty's name has been mentioned, I find it fitting to mention the following. If you are interested in trading US stocks, then go online and find the following documents written by Mr Haggerty. They will give you a very good understanding of how some of the big players think and operate. 1. Trading with The Generals 2. Kevin Haggerty's Inner Circle Mr Haggerty puts a big emphasis on earnings, which of course is the correct thing to do, but one should always remember that when considering information, one has to always keep the end goal in mind. I do not look at earnings, apart from the day and time they are released. In other words, it is all RELATIVE!
Hagertys method is done, it was mostly based on the NYSE Specialists, 20 years passed its shelf life.
Not entirely, although I do agree a good deal of his stuff is past it's sell by date. None the less, if one is going to use textbook TA to make trade decisions with, then I think his stuff is worth reading. It is also widely available for free, so no harm looking if you are textbook TA inclined
Now now, do not think like that, as he really is not Mr surf, as he actually hates him, believe it or not!
