Not true. Have u heard of glycogen? Anything you eat in excess be it carb protein fat can be stored as fat. Basic biochemistry.
Blood glycogen has to be used quickly, the simpler the carb, the quicker the conversion. Distance trainers know that after awhile, glycogen is mostly used up and the body begins to use stored fat as fuel.
Actually the body uses a mix of fat and muscle and glycogen for fuel. That's why long distance runners look malnourished.
