Here are the stocks: MOS V BIDU RIMM AAPL CLR PCX CLF(I don't like iron stocks but I coudn't find anything else to add with a large enough market cap. And I'm not going to add two coal stocks.) I predict this index will rise 40% within the next year. Making money in the stock market is as easy as buying these stocks and holding them for awhile. As a rule the index cannot change. I may or may not own these stocks at any time. Currently I am long V and MOS. Yea some of these losers get their panties in a bunch cause I don't own all the stocks I recommend.
I wouldn't buy these (past "momo" leaders) even with their 75% discount. But you keep holding Stock, the new Bull will surely save you since past leaders almost always lead in a new bull market. Edit: NOT! paysense FYI, simple math (that perhaps ST can't do) states that you need a 300% gain if you bought near the highs and took a 75% drubbing - just to break even. This may take a long, long time - but it's commonly known that past leaders rarely regain the luster of their former glory. In other words this index is dead money. But he didn't listen then and perhaps is still in denial. God Frank, those stocks went exactly where they should and always do, WOW!!! If Stock traded with anything other than on paper - - his panties would surely be in a bunch, right about now. I am glad to see he is still around, because most give up entirely on investing when these lessons are experienced. Perhaps he will someday learn from it! (right)
this performance is stunning, in 1 year here is the % loss on each stock.....MOS -78%, V -35%, BIDU - 34%, RIMM - 78%, CLR - 63%, PCX - 88%, and CLF - 68%....Not a financial in the bunch (V maybe, but that is one of his better performers!) Yep stock knows how stocks and the mkt work, you are RARELY wrong as well......oops. thank you come again
Wow! These charts look flat out ugly. I'm gonna have to put these on a watch list and look for some long triggers. I think stock_trad3r said the other day there is no crisis. There's surely a crisis in his stock account.
question for stock trader: did you really take this kind of loss, how much did you lose in reality. I know you didn't believe in stop-losses and had conviction.. or did you throw in the towel when s&p broke xxxx area, in any case, what % were you down after I think your 40% up year.
Many of the stocks in this list look just like this. If this isn't a parabolic drop down I don't know what is. This stock, and many others in the group, is going to bounce hard very soon.
