New Prostate Cancer Tests May Supplement P.S.A. Testing

  2. The traditional PSA test is almost worthless since it sometimes causes men to seek radical treatment for a condition that won't kill them.

    A more useful replacement would be great. My father died from metastatic PC and I'm mid-50's with an enlarged prostate. I'm one of the guys who'd definitely benefit from better testing.
     
  3. I've been taking a drug called proscar for 18 years. Works for me. You might want to try it.
     
  4. I generally try to avoid pharmaceuticals if I can help it. So far the enlargement hasn't interfered with peeing but I may be forced to try something like that eventually.
