The Hispanic vote is not nearly as important to Dems as the black vote with 55% of Hispanics in 3 states and only eight states having a Hispanic population of over one million.Bidens 60% approval rating with blacks is a far bigger problem. He fucked them on police reform so they will be staying home in 2024 in even bigger numbers than they did Hillary.

  2. Eventually all people will disapprove of the Democratic Party.

Republicans were saying that during Reagans term and Dems went on to get the most votes in the next 7 of 8 presidential elections.

The only reason the Republican party is a major national party is because of the undemocratic electoral college,Senate and gerrymandering.

  4. We still two years out...lots of things can happen. Also we still dont know who the GOP is going to put forth as their candidate.

If they stay home in 2024, it will be for other reasons.

    ----------

As the Democrats’ chief negotiator, Sen. Cory Booker (N.J.), has made abundantly clear — to the point of hamming it up on the Senate floor — Democrats are not seeking to “defund the police,” despite what Fox News may be telling its viewers. Last month, in passing a $3.5 trillion budget resolution, Senate Democrats voted unanimously for a Republican amendment to slash federal funds for any municipality that defunds its police department. This is not a real issue, and Scott knows it.
Regardless, the Republicans will take over both branches in the mid-terms and they will not defund the police. Once again, people regardless of Blacks, Hispanics, Indigenous, or any other person of color will look to other issues (e.g. inflation, baby formula, rising gas prices, crippling student loans, anti-contraceptive/anti-abortion laws, failed gun laws, rising crime) considering both the Republicans and Democrats are not interested in defunding the police.

Most people regardless of race are more concerned about rising costs of living (e.g. inflation, gas, groceries) than defund the police although police brutality is what gets people out to protest although abortion issues can get just as many people out in the streets to protest too.

Historically or statistically, the Democrats should lose the mid-terms even if the above problems that I mentioned to Tony Stark...were not occurring.

Yet, as you stated, a lot of things or changes can occur within the next two years considering the elephant in the room is still Donald Trump.
    • Voters will not forget nor be able to ignore the elephant in the room and its imprints in America...racism, bigotry, white supremacy, and xenophobia that still are prevalent and growing in America as recently shown in Buffalo.
He's desperate, his supporters are desperate...trying to be heard again and getting the right people in place that will allow the above to occur considering they do understand that America is growing fast from within the population of people of color and as they gain more political power.

Reminder, Biden won 81 million votes while Trump won 74 million votes...the latter has a lot of followers that believe or will pretend racism, bigotry, white supremacy and xenophobia is not a problem.
    • It's the poltergeist (the foundation) of the Civil War in America that many continue forgetting and underestimating the threat such as preventing the growth in those that can make a difference in the vote...people of color.
Personally, I will side with those against racism, bigotry, white supremacy, and xenophobia because those ideologies are not the path to making America great again.

Regardless, we have a much bigger concern beyond our borders and that is the Russia/Ukraine War especially if it spreads to other countries and we react the same way we initially did with Hitler and his Nazism by allowing the spread before acting against it...

Only one party can lead against it while the other party still caters to the elephant in the room that supports Putin. The good news, is we got rid of Trump out of the oval office although he lurks in Florida like the swamp thing and we have Covid under control but at a great expense.

No,it wont.Look at the millions of blacks who protested in 2020.Millions of them voted for Biden for that issue alone and will not being doing so again in 2024.

If Biden had said during the Floyd protest what he is saying now about giving billions more to police and hiring thousands of new police with no reform bill to go with it blacks would have stayed home and he would have lost 2020.Its not about defunding the police, they are fine with more police and more police funding as long as reform is added to cut down on the brutality and hold police accountable when they do so.

Biden has a 60% approval with blacks,a number Bill Clinton and Obama never came close to and the main reason is the betrayal on this issue.

Bigger issues in life right now are at play than defunding the police...bigger issues impacting people of color (not just blacks) much more.

Not for blacks and police reform advocates like myself. This is the main issue that I wont be voting for, donating to, or volunteering for Biden in 2024.Same for millions who protested in 2020.Biden has no chance of winning re election with a 60% approval rating with blacks.

And its reform we want, not defund.

I'm not sure why you think Biden is running again but now imagine if he doesn't run again...

The dynamics that I mention will again become front center once more. Simply, the Republicans made the mistake of concentrating on Hilary and Obama in 2020 when they worried about Biden too late.
    • I think they will do the same again by worrying about Biden going into 2024 when it will be another Democrat that will remind us of those other issues causing more of a problem for people of color.
Heck, the betting odds that President Biden will run again for president have been declining since a few days after he was elected.

Republicans will not support reform or defund the police whereas the Democrats have at least actually made reforms in some counties of the United States. Maybe the best thing for now is to start from bottom to up...start from the county level.

Reminder, several states did passed bipartisan measures which significantly altered law enforcement practices as in reform. The problem is trying to get the Republicans on board for something similar on the national level.

That's a difficult task to do considering the police unions, and contracts (the money) they have with private companies like Lexipol across America...all of it with strong support from the Republicans...privatizing police policy that's corrupt.

Simply, it's not just about the police and reform.

The central thrust of the Democrats has been the forced demographic domination of the electorate built on the presumption that immigrants from Mexico and Central America are ready-made Democrats.
