Nonsense. If IB was working on a completely new platform they would have announced it. Tradingview is just a chart add on to please the chart porn addicts. That's not a new trading app.
I would say Tradingview has a pretty good looking charts, but that's it. As far as actual trading goes, it sucks big time. They don't offer ANYTHING that I would consider useful.
They as in IB? I can't disagree more. No other retail broker I have ever come across offers what IB offers. No wait, let me rephrase. No other broker can offer what IB offers other than margin requirements, something IB seemingly sucks at. Not my concern, never was ever close to margin limits.
No, I meant TradingView. But then again, what is it about IB that no other retail brokers (that you believe) can offer? Charts? (IB charts was the worst but not so much better even with the adoption of TradingView in my not so humble opinion). Execution speed? (It's not bad but I wouldn't say it's the best either.) Automated trading API? (Again, it's not bad but I wouldn't say it's the best either). Margin requirements? (You already stated they're the worst). Finally, customer service? (I never had the need to reach out to their CS but, again, they're neither worst nor the best). So, all in all, IB is neither good nor bad. Certainly nothing to write home about.
Multi asset class broker, hardly any markups for data, very competitive commission rates, decent short stock list and borrow rates, top of the line fx spreads and quality of execution, currency conversions, a pretty good api. Very good and no nonsense way to collaterize tbills and notes and bonds. One of the best customizable execution algorithm repertoire. Those are what comes to mind right away. Name me a single other broker who comes close. There are a few who specialize in niches but none offers the same broad market access.
No, the indicators are the same as those on the platform interactive brokers, If you want automated trading, yes you can through Trading View, and you also have several methods: 1- https://www.multicarts.com/ 2- https://capitalise.ai/interactivebrokers/ 3- https://stocksharp.com/store/interactivebrokers/ 4- https://interactivebrokers.github.io/ 5- http://www.amibroker.com/ This is what is in my favorites, I will not recommend anything, You must read and see all the details, subscriptions, the type of programming language etc, good luck
