New PC. What to do now?

  1. Thanks to you all for your inputs. Well, I have a job, so I can only do "End of the Day" trading, so which kind of PC should I opt for?

Anything really. Even a Celeron class machine is more than adequate.

I second that. Massive resource hog that will give you headaches. I switched over to mcafee years ago and the difference is amazing.

I would say that this mentality applies to ALL Anti virus/malware/phishing software...

However, I am realistic enough to realise that not everyone has the time to learn howto use thier computer properly so "helper" software is a necessity for most people. And I would also agree that McAfee is the way to go as the "most feature encompasing, least problems, least resource hog" (in that order) suite available.

  6. Agreed!
It certainly is a "night" and "day" difference.
    Go McAfee!

I just got Mcafee and this morning mcods.exe began taking over my computer. Google search gave me no answers as to how to get it to stop. Do any of you know what I am talking about? Does anyone know what to do with this thing?
    Help appreciated.

Is your McAfee on subscription, or is it free?
