New Orleans to get rid of last of FEMA trailers.

Still a few people in the trailers that are not ready to move though...

"Edwin Weber Jr., 62, lives with his brother in a trailer crammed with stuff. He was seething at a "notice of violation" letter taped to his door shortly before Christmas.

The letter said he would be fined — up to $500 a day — unless he took "immediate action" to move out. He said the notice was "worthy of Ebenezer Scrooge himself."

(because 5 years is not enough time to get your shit together, I guess)

When I saw the title of this thread, I thought it read "New Orleans to get rid of last of FEMALE traders" :D
  3. 5 years may not be enough in this economy at his age (62). He may have health and other issues that is not mentioned here.

5 years qualifies as a safety net, IMO. There's no way to guarantee that every single person is not inconvenienced after a natural catastrophe.
