Joe's plagiarism is 20 years in the past. You got anything on Joe from THIS CENTURY? Yeah, I didn't think so. Those who are still whining about Wright, whom Obama fully denounced, aren't going to ever vote for him anyway so who cares. As far as Rezko, yeah go there if you got something concrete. But I suspect you got nothing.
Interesting!: The Kansas City Star is owned by The McClatchy Company: http://www.kansascity.com/ The Anchorage Daily News is owned by The McClatchy Company: http://www.adn.com/ When the other biggies: Washington Post, New York Times, Los Angeles Times, Wall Street Journal, et al. get involved we'll have better reporting and coverage.
McClatchy usually has a pretty good reputation. As for Palin, people who are reading this thread may wish to listen to the tapes that have been released of her senior staffer attempting to intimidate a state worker and saying that she's on board with it. Darn recorded phone calls! http://www.gov.state.ak.us/audio/FrankBaileyCDaudio.mp3 But that stuff's boring -- nobody cares about abuse of power or her husband being cc'd on confidential state emails and sitting in on confidential state meetings. Here's the good stuff: "Palin on "under God" in the Pledge of Allegiance: "If it was good enough for the founding fathers, its good enough for me"
So you're saying that a person's dishonesty, even from 20 years ago, does not reflect on that person's character? Don't tell me you're that stupid. And if Wright did not do anything wrong, why did Obama have to denounce him? And if what he did was wrong, why did Obama wait 20 years, and only after he saw his candidacy in jeopardy because of this, to distance himself from Wright? All this reflects bad judgement on Obama's part, which was the original point of this discussion. You want something concrete on Tony Rezko? He was CONVICTED on several counts of fraud and bribery this year, and is under indictment for wire fraud in a separate case which is going to trial in 2009. So you have your guy Obama not only associating with but doing business with a convicted felon. Is this concrete enough for you?
How about that people just don't like him. He has ran several times now and nobody votes for him. He'a screamer and a loudmouth. He grates people.
How about lie about your health, for a surprisingly long time? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Franklin_D._Roosevelt's_paralytic_illness
Joe Biden, plagiarist. John McCain, KEATING FIVE!!! What Joe did was wrong, what John did was officially deemed "Poor judgment". Bet you're glad you opened that ancient can of worms now, aren't ya, "smart" guy? Here's some more questionable judgments from John McCain: http://digg.com/politics/Vietnam_Veterans_Against_John http://blog.barofintegrity.us/2008/...upport-senator-john-mccain-for-president.aspx http://www.usvetdsp.com/smith_mc.htm You're right, dude, digging up the past can be fun!! I didn't say Wright didn't do anything wrong, and Obama did denounce him. If you don't care, so be it. Other people are willing to let that stuff go. And unless you have something criminal on Obama in his dealings with Rezko, you're just flailing like a fish in a boat. Rezko wasn't under indictment when Obama associated with him. You looking for some retroactive guilt by association? Yeah that's the rightwing shenanigans all decent people know and loathe. The bottom line: can a person learn from his mistakes and do better in the future? Looks like Obama is doing a better job of that right now than McCain. Joe Biden has been squeaky clean the last 21 years. McCain picks a veep currently under serious investigation for abuse of power so he can collect the mythical Hilary-or-die supporters.
LOL. This woman's ignorance is boundless. Joe is going to chew her up and spit her out in their debate.
Nice find. Amazing the stuff that is on the internet. Listened to the call. Just a thought...there better be alot more than that though, or Palin has no problem. By the way, I heard nothing on that tape that said that Palin was "on board with the intimidation of a government official". Maybe you miss-phrased that statement. What I heard is that Palin and her family couldn't understand why nothing had been done about this trooper who had cleared violated various rules. I doubt that's abuse of power Dave. OldTrader
Just so you got all your facts straight, here's the difference: McCain was investigated and exonorated. Biden was investigated, and found guilty, and later admitted it. Big difference. LOL. OldTrader
