Nice suggestion on the upgrade - but, did not work. However, I did some research and found a solution. For firefox/waterfox users: Tools > Options > Content : Fonts & Colors > Advanced: [X] "Allow pages to choose their own fonts, instead of my selections above." hope it helps anyone with garbled font/icons. Yet there are millions of copies of XP still in use. It works just fine for most who use it. I have never understood why any site would want to basically make it impossible for a sizeable pool of potential users to access their site. Just to be up to date? Plenty of sites are very accessible on XP, so it' s not like it's impossible.
I'm sure Baron has stats about his users and XP probably comes in at less than 1%. I also think the onus should be on the users to update to the latest OS and browser.
That is a typical techie response. I'll bet there are far more than 1 % using XP. Blaming your customers is also a pretty poor business strategy. The fact is, most websites work fine with XP.
As a person with impaired vision this new look is a disaster. The bright screen and the grey characters lack contrast and hurt my eyes. It would be nice to have an option to change the background and font colors. I like the old look much better. Gabe
