If this helps for perspective... My investment above is down 21.67%. As a very successful newbie trader in 2020, 2021 was a year trying new things to see what I was most comfortable doing but the year ended lower as I just couldn't make anything happen. I stopped day trading at the end of the year and stayed out in 2022 out of clarity about my lack of ability to day trade a bear market (I rarely short stocks). Instead I went into investment mode with TSLA, the most solid company I can think of today to withstand this bear market. I also trade its movements relatively well because I've been laser focused on that stock over the last 3 years. The lessons I've learned to date is to laser focus on a few volatile to semi volatile stocks (5-6 max, 2-3 best) until their general trend become relatively predictable to trade. I must emphasize that I'm not a technical trader and do best on big picture, momentum trading and don't feel obligated ever to trade.
Thanks Vic. I have tried to do the same - focus on a small list of volatile stocks. Just cannot get it going
