One step forward, 3/4th step back
    Still positive for the year
Had the first $500+ day today
Hopefully one of the swing trades will stick here soon

What timeframe charts do you like to trade?
How much day-time do you want to spend day-trading?

  4. For day trading I look at 5 minute charts.

I end up spending a lot of time during market open and at nights studying charts

What’s your sell strategy? It looks like a lot of trades being sold for minuscule losses. Is that. Because it’s end of day and you want to go home flat? Or super tight stops? I’m guessing the latter?

  6. Most of these are day trades and I am going home flat. The stops are not super tight when a trade is initiated, but I move them to super tight if it moves even a bit in my direction. I only want to take a full loss if a trade hits my entry and immediately reverses. Hoping to catch 1-2 that just take off in my direction and never come back to break even or worse.

Thanks. That’s what I thought. In my original post I meant to say my guess is the former, not latter

Seems to me, the fact that you are about even since the beginning of the year in this environment shows solid, disciplined risk management.

  10. Thanks KG. That's the only part of the process I can try to control.
