Critics are raving! http://www.pcworld.com/article/251913/new_ipad_reviews_critics_are_raving.html#tk.hp_new http://www.slashgear.com/new-ipad-review-3rd-gen-14218465/ Apple doesnât need another revolution, it has already started one, and the new iPad brings a fresh degree of refinement to a segment in which it is undoubtedly the king.â
About time the tech industry upped screen resolutions. I been first used a 1024x768 color display in 1990. Processor speeds and RAM and hard disk size have increased 100 fold since then but screen resolution have only doubled each way. We should be using 30 inch retina displays today.
Wait until they load a intel chip and remove the bezel. iPad will be 75% of tablet sales by end of June 2012.
Think you're right that's next logical step. An intel chip and thinner bezel would be another huge improvement.
Bezel will not be removed. It has not been touched for 3 generations for the specific purpose it holds: appearence of size and screen real estate. Frankly, I believe iPad 3 is undersized for the features it boasts. If they had to increase it by mere 0.7mm, it should be at least twice that. A month or two is needed until real user reviews start coming in. Tablets are doing so well that RIM's $200 PlayBook came out with extendable keyboard, BlackBerry Mini Keyboard, for $120. From its pricing alone, one can distinguish the necessity of the keyboard.
Plus the bezel is part of the "handle". A tablet with a complete edge-to-edge touch screen is not something I would want. Perhaps others may?
that's right. edge to edge screen is no good..need some sort of bezel to hold on to with a device of that size
