When in the hell will IB have a "change from open" option to differentiate from change from close in % terms?
Would need to first have the OPEN value before you can add columns that are based on OPEN. Its one of the things that a number of us have posted about in the recent requests for comments by IB. Hopefully will be added.
Also should be able to permanently turn off the hot keys on IB for buy and sell orders vs doing it everytime you log on------a risk of a massive $ blunder.
This applies to any broker, not just IB. But I think a great feature would be a new web-based report that is an unofficial account audit. Every customer could (optionally) assign a password and they could email that to potential auditors; eg investors. This would reduce auditing costs in some cases. People could even post this to EliteTrader in some of the flamewar threads when asked to prove their skills Basically it would be a URL to a web page that shows the equity curve.. but not specific trades so it protects the trader's system. The report would calculate Sharpe Ratio and a few other statistics such as # of trades + stdev, max drawdown, %long, %short as well. The trader could deactivate or change this password at their leisure, and the report should obviously not show the account #. If the trader clicks a checkbox in TWS, it would show account balances as well. They should also be able to select if the report uses daily, weekly, or monthly time intervals. This would not only be useful to traders looking for funding, but also has some benefits for IB (or any broker who would implement this). Let's say 1% of the traders who use this functionality actually do get funding.. many of them will stay with IB and trade larger volumes. Plus it is free marketing, since everyone who clicks on the Report page sees IB's logo etc. -Taric
fxspeculator, Re hotkeys. Have you tried changing them to something that "cant" happen like left clicking on a field that you never have showing on TWS?
Does this mean I have hotkeys even though I have never used them and have never set them up?
Why doesn't IB simulate MOO & MOC & MIT orders for futures products? Any plans for this in the future?
