New Firmware for Intel SSD X-25M G2

  1. Intel had pulled this new firmware as it was causing problems with some units, but it's back again. Madshrimps tested it and it now seems to be OK.

The new firmware supports TRIM in W7. (The manual version of TRIM for XP and Vista has not been reposted yet.) Shrimp's test of TRIM shows that it is working and restoring performance in it's W7 64-bit tester.

FWIW... on my XP rig, I've not flashed the new firmware. My unit has overwritten the entire drive 4 times so it's "dirty".... and according to Crystal Diskmark, my performance has NOT dropped off. Perhaps SSD performance doesn't degrade on XP rigs like it does on W7 ??
