I'm just curious how you handle every other website out there, because virtually none of them has the color palette you are looking for.

  2. Most websites have dark fonts on light background or light fonts on dark background. So there is a contrast.

The new ET website has light fonts on light background making the website too bright to read.

Switched to classic but it isn't the old ET dark background. (I did a comparison between the image of old ET you uploaded vs. the "new" classic ET on Firefox.)

Maybe other people can deal with the new colors.

Every message posted here under the default color palette is black text on a white background. You can't get any more contrast than that. Someone else here complained about the colors but then came back to me and said, "Forget it. The site looks fine on my iPad. The problem is my desktop monitor." So perhaps your monitor is older and lacking the ability the generate the necessary contrast and colors?

  4. I also say forget it.

The new ET color palette appears brighter on my computer, laptop, and mobile.

My equipments are latest to a few years old.

It's the shade of color that I notice is different.

You could choose the color black but in different shades. E.g. dark black to light black.
    Same for other colors.

Would you prefer Kelly green or forest green? Maybe emerald green. Olive? Lime? Jade? Avocado? Mint? Maybe a nice chartreuse.

I am getting used to it and it does have some great new features - all new things take time to get comfortable with. I appreciate ANY business owner who is striving to evolve and improve instead of letting a product stagnate.

  7. I won't deny I prefer the old classic colours, but taste is personal so apart from discomfort, functionality comes first. In any case I'm colour blind so I don't see what most people see; a bright purple toothbrush is lovely blue to me, and green flip flops are soothing grey.

The new classic look is much easier on the eyes than the modern. As we tend to get used to things I suggest periodically switching to modern to remind yourself what the difference is.

As for functionality, still feeling my way around but it is streets ahead of the old site and Baron deserves a cheer for putting in the effort to upgrade.

I can easily adjust the palette to be exactly what it was before. It's really not a big deal to me because I don't use the classic style anyway.

  9. There's probably some misunderstanding regarding my initial post.

In vertical view on mobile using Chrome, the layout is missing a lot of things.

When I look at it in horizontal view on mobile using Chrome, I get the full ET website.

I was commenting on the vertical view layout.

Plus, I commented on the colors. The old ET colors were gold. Reading the old ET was like reading the Kindle.

The new features are great. I agree on this.

Of course there are things missing on the mobile layout. There's hardly any space to work with! That's just the nature of having to deal with a drastically narrower screen versus a desktop or full-size laptop. As the screen size gets smaller, the number of features that go bye-bye increase.
