New CNBC Format - Big Mistake

Discussion in 'Wall St. News' started by Choad, Dec 19, 2005.

  1. It's like I'm watching ESPN, only this ain't on HD!!! IT SUCKS!

I do kinda notice this looks a lot like the European format (at least the ticker on the bottom) The ticker on the top reminds me of a NFL sunday game. LOL

At least they have the commodities on the upper band now :D

  3. Bob Pisani just contacted me.

He agrees that the top ticker is a mess, and is too difficult to read. He also agreed with me that the ticker clock that goes out to a "thousandth" of a second is "silly".

Hopefully they will make some adjustments and tone down all of these highly distracting graphics that make the screen far too "busy" than functional.

Haven't watched it in a long time, but had to turn it on after seeing this thread.

I just got off the phone with Maria.
She is not happy with the new Pea Cock in the middle of her charts either!

  6. I was pushing for a yoctosecond-timestamp on the ticker.

Damn, cable company I use here in Thailand doesn't provide CNBC... only Bloomberg.

    Now I'm freaking curious

  8. Unless Becky Quick is gonna flash a hooter now and again under the new format, it pretty much sucks...

  9. Did I miss out on a mailing of 3-D glasses? Is this how I'm supposed to look at these new charts?

And what's up with running the indexes at the top of the screen?
Two of my sets cut them off completely.

Somebody must have let Cramer into the graphics studio over the weekend.
