Nothings new at IB that scrolling section on their website has been scrolling thru the same three subjects all year long. I heard mention on ET that IB was getting into Forex don't count on it any time this year folks.
hi we here at ET like to talk about IB all the time, so i'll continue. so does anyone else that uses the standalone TWS find it a little annoying that it keeps asking/checking if you want to update it? (1) for example: every time you restart your computer, a screen pops up asking if you want to check. not only is this annoying, but when you exit it asks ARE YOU SURE YOU WANT TO EXIT??? is this really necessary? (2) not only that, it checks when you START the program too. it tries to connect to the internet BEFORE the login screen comes up, which i find annoying. why is there so much redundant checking to see if there are updates? does anyone know if there is an option to turn off checking for updates? or at least reduce it to checking only once, or only certain times, or with less annoying popups thanks
