Living in Oklahoma with sociopaths selling the Jesus bla bla bla business mixed in with the KKK (legacy and current) everywhere is confusing you. Warren is not against wealth, she is a capitalist just a saner one. There are rational people, even from crazy places.
If you want to help people, fix the damn problem. Taking money from one person for handouts to others to pay for the same shitty product only exasperates the problem. Why does it cost me less to pay out of pocket for a medical procedure than to pay towards my deductible as part of my insurance. Warren/Sanders et al. they only know one solution, increase the size of the problem with government bureaucracy. Throw more and more money at a failed model. They don’t care about fixing things, they need the problems to drive the wedge that fuels their base.
Easy first step. Breakup the monopoly hold on states. Allow insurance companies to pool across state lines. It’s against the law, wonder who lobbied for that?
Okay. And that will fix...everything? Oh, and by the way, the "state monopoly breakup" is not quite as simple as you make it sound. There's the odd logistic or two involved, and it's not a new observation: https://www.nytimes.com/2015/09/01/...sell-health-insurance-across-state-lines.html https://www.factcheck.org/2017/07/selling-insurance-across-state-lines/ What else you got?
Yes I’m aware of the propaganda put out by the medical/insurance sectors, tis about protecting their bottom line, not finding ways to reduce costs to patients and insureds. Obamacare was written by and for big business. You can scream all you want about how many more people have insurance now vs then.... any time the government mandates the purchase of a “specific product” via taxation you’re in trouble. I have many suggestions, but I’m not the one running for office. You answer me a question. Wife doing a checkup needed blood work. Was quoted $584.00 towards my BCBS $6000.00 deductible. When they were informed they we were no longer with BCBS and were paying cash the price dropped to 186.00.....Why?????? You answer that question and we’ll have a nice discussion on how to reduce costs to the patient.
