It would be more interesting to show the trading stations but also the yearly profits. I am sure that for most people the pictures from both would show: big trading stations and small profits.

Makes me think about: who has the biggest d*ck?
Size of the "equipment"does not automatically equals good performance. Not in trading, nor in ***. :D

I have a I7 laptop and a 22 inch extra screen. With that configuration I can mathematically generate 8 figure profits a year. Not saying I am, but theoretically my laptop and extra screen can handle that without any additional hardware. I used more screens before, but I decreased the number of screens and increased the profits.

  2. Today top name brand workstations are fairly reasonable when purchased as lease return. Shop wisely and you'll find them as low as .10 cents on the dollar. Look for dell , HP or Lenovo with xeon quad or hex core. Do not buy their consumer lines found at box stores, they're junk. Add SSD, more RAM and video card as needed. You'd be hard pressed to spend over $400 bux.
You may ask why xeon processor. They are only found in industrial level workstations and servers. Gaming computers use i3, i5 and i7. Although i7 is sufficient , the xeon is tested with higher tolerance.

I did a bunch of research before I bought the first one, I put a military grade mother board and i7 quad core and ssd in. Maybe I’ll look to upgrade this one with a bigger ssd among some other things. I just wanna have a game plan if I need to get another computer on the fly Incase this one breaks down.

Yeah, I notice that almost every day on ET.

I was not pointing at you, it was a general remark.
I have seen many attempts of betting and it always ended up in discussions and never ended in a real bet. And even if it became a real bet the winner never got his money. At least if there was no discussion about who the winner was.
I don't spent my time on these kind of stupidities. Only people with a huge ego are sensitive for this kind of bets.

Ps: If you are such a terrible profitable trader, why do you have to be a management consultant too?

What do you do with your ultra-speed PC? Any complex and tested algorithmic strategies built on it?

Nothing fancy. I bought that pc about 12 years or more ago, in an effort to improve a super slow dial-up connection in the country, where that was all available. It did improve speed noticably but still poor by today's standards. Today we have extended broadband which is still too slow for most things. My better connection is Verizon wireless and i use Dell.

For a while I was suffering from slow speeds at home, so bought a new modem, that helped out heaps, just about doubled the speed.
The oranges also make it go faster :) 2018-09-23 06.24.26.jpg
