New 0 DTE FOP from the CME? Aren't these just Binary options?

Binaries/digitals got a bad rep because of obvious reasons. They are exotic cash-or-nothing, asset-or-nothing options. There are trading strategies that require this kind of trade structure in order to function, so they provide usefulness and got place in the toolbox.

Spreading against 0dte SPX 0dte options.

 

I hope they become liquid. But guessing they won’t be. Similar to ES options.
