If you actually have a system, which you clearly dont, then that would be like saying the casino is guessing at the roulette wheel.

Guessing implies your odds are 50/50 or worse, I guess i must be the luckiest guy in the world when it comes to guessing stuff having been profitable for 9 of the last 10 years.

Or do what Dr, Carson says in his book and eliminate welfare for any able bodied person who can work. Set it up for a few years down the road so as to allow them to obtain any education and skills they need. Liberals would cry this is mean and unfair but it's more pathetic and sad to have some person go through life expecting a handout and have no self esteem and then have his kids repeat his mistakes and behavior.

'Eliminate waste and abuse' is nothing but a hoax. It's never been done and it never will.
It's just another way of saying 'if we had the right people running this thing'.

It's a joke. Big gov't program = monstrosity no matter what.

Liberals may not cry, they may point out that, despite falling unemployment, job seekers still outnumber job openings by over 2 to 1. Your solution, while good and desirable, will at this time simply worsen that ratio.

But unemployment is not dropping. The fudged numbers are there to make Odumbo look good. With labor participation rate at a 40 year low some have said unemployment is near 18%. No matte

And forcing people to work and get off welfare can maybe assist in breaking the cycle. No matter what it truly is it's way above 6.1%. People need to show some desire to be productive no matter what level of skills they possess. For kids to see parents productive it can motivate them rather than seeing them sitting around just collecting welfare, SNAP, Section 8 housing etc.

Because the formulas are different, unemployment can be falling even while the LFPR is falling. But if I concede that unemployment is not falling, it simply means the job seeker to job offering ratio is worse yet. So going back to your strategy, where would all those new job seekers with their new skillsets, and presumably higher expectations, go for work (and at what price)?

The structural theory of unemployment, at this time, is for the very most part wrong. Wages are rising significantly basically nowhere. So if employers aren't offering higher compensation to attract those with higher skills, how badly do they really need those skills? Are they really turning away sales and forgoing expansion?

Since immigration is a hot topic ....

Consider deporting those here illegally back to their home countries. And as part of welfare reform make very clear that welfare benefits run out after a certain amount of time and if employment is available they are expected to take what is available ... and prove yourself to be dependable, able and hard working ... and work your way up the adder. Many people who have achieved success in life have started at the bottom. My first job after having a Bachelors and Masters degree in the last 70's paid $12,000 per year. Years ago we had a local fast food place that ended closing at 6:00 pm some days due to a lack of workers yet some locals out of work said "that's beneath me". Sorry, but if you're unemployed then no job should be beneath you.

If you're able yet refuse to work, you don't deserve to EAT! The world doesn't "owe you a living", regardless of what DemoCraps say!

(I know from where I speak. I've got $Millions now, but years ago I joined the military because I got tired of not eating regularly. My 1st adult job was as a janitor*, swabbing toilets for $2/hr. Don't whine to me that ANY job is "beneath you". It's not!)

    :>(

    * I had an even worse job as a kid... I SHOVELED COW SHIT on a small dairy farm. That's not a "figuratively shoveled shit"... it's literal. The cows came in for milking in their stalls... and they shit and pissed into a trough behind them.... copious amounts, I might add (you ever see a cow piss? It's like a torrential flood!). One of my jobs was to shovel it out of the trough and out of the barn.

Ok, but if the illegals leave, and unemployed Americans take those jobs, many of which are at or below minimum wage, then they won't be making "a living" anyway, whether they're owed one or not.
