There was an official respond from the head of tax office about this issue and he confirmed it. And you are probably from a developed country. You don't know how stuff work in a shithole countries. It is quite possible that if I pay money to a tax official he is gonna look away. But most likely there are gonna be other one who would like to get a piece of the pie
I think in fact there is no such problem in your country, you just make them up, it's yourself who creates all these artificial problems. Just how it looks like when analysing your postings. You don't seem to be very smart, so to speak... You are overreacting, not keeping cool, not applying some logic. And you politicize the whole situation. It seems your agenda is to make politics, opposition politics...
I cant really understand are you a person from the government or you are the one who is not bright. Do you think in my country we have opposition. And even if I was opposition what would my post do in a niche website. I am in awe of some people
@Dna7272, show us official statement of your tax office, not your (and your E&Y buddy's) distorted interpretations of the tax laws.
If you can't read, then I am sorry. It's clear in the tax code what they say. As I said it's you who looks like not so bright
The process is; 1) declare your taxes using common sense logic (forget the hear-say interpretations of the laws) 2) then you will get an official tax statement 3) if you don't agree with the decision of the tax office then you can appeal it.
To appeal it there has to be some ambiguity in the law. There's an official statement from the head of the tax administration clearing everything. Where he clearly states that it's the way as it is stated here
BS! You appeal the actual decision about your very own tax declaration, not appealing some laws or interpretations of it. Some other fishy thing in your story doesn't fit: you said in your other country (I guess it was the US) you have been taxed at 40% and that was ok. So, then why do you need to declare your same income again in your home country? That's illogical b/c you already have been taxed in the US, so then would mean double-taxation. One can only shake the head about you. You did not do your homework...
