Nevada Ranch Dispute Getting Ugly, Another Waco Or Ruby Ridge Coming?

Discussion in 'Politics' started by AAAintheBeltway, Apr 10, 2014.

  1. I'm guessing that since the ranchers family has grazed the land for a little over 100 years and he's claiming land rights because of that, then you'd also be for native Americans getting land back that their families have used for over 100 years... even if it means giving up your house and property.

Lol! No, but I will agree that Native Americans got screwed, blued, and tattooed. Our government has been absolutely broken for the last hundred years, but has gotten MUCH worse the last few decades. And in the last five years, it has gone all out tyrannical.:(

apples and oranges - drawing comparisons between events or sets of circumstances that seem to share a common denominator but are in fact distinct from one another by virtue of having occurred during different time periods, in different places, under different socio-economic conditions, to different groups of people, etc., can lead to the incorrect assumption that, just because something is true under one set of circumstances, it will necessarily hold true for all circumstances of a similar sort. The act of making such comparisons is sometimes referred to as "comparing apples and oranges."

LOL! No doubt! The liberal way of today is to detract by trying to bring up something like Native Americans in comparison to something like what we have going on today in Nevada. Yes, I believe the indians got the shaft, but in looking back at history, they were FAR from Nevada's rancher.

The guy admits he refuses to hire blacks or any other American citizens but he's deeply concerned over the Native American Indians of 100 + years ago?

  6. Yes it is apples and oranges. The native Americans have a much stronger moral claim to land and/or reparations than this specific rancher. You can't turn back history, what's done is done. As usual the idiot we know as Lucrum failed to get the point. Now get your nose out of my butt you freak and go troll someone else for a while, it's weird the way you troll after me all the time.

One of our leftists on here asked awhile back why anyone should be able to flout a court order. As if nobody but Bundy has ever done it and he should be reigned in.

So i looked up info on Yuca Flats. That's where a proposed nuclear waste disposal facility in Nv has been proposed but certain Nv pols don't want it there. Yes, i'm talking about uncle Harry. So a court ruled that the commission must consider the permit which uncle Harry and pals have pressured the commission to shelve. So what does uncle Harry do? He uses congresses power of the purse to defund the ability to construct the nuclear waste facility.

    Nice, eh?

I guess that's my answer to the resident leftist who thinks court orders are sacrosanct.

And Harry wasn't done either. He said the court was "no good" and they needed to put some of their people on it to shift the balance of power.

Yes, that's how the people who tell Bundy that he must follow the law and court orders, follow it themselves.
