Does anyone remember something called the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act? It was passed back in the seventies to nail corporations who pay a Mr Ten Percent with gov't connections to get deals done in foreign countries.

Now we have Harry Reid calling the shots in this deal, his ex staffer running the blm, and his son "brokering" the deal with the chinese company.

And now you know why the bill was called the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act and not the Corrupt Practices Act.

Sorry, but I don't believe the FCPA applies to business that is physically done here in the United States. I took 6 days of classes on the FCPA before going to work in Russia (company made me). Nothing in any of that seems to ring in relevance to this.

You should man up and put on the boxing gloves. Here you are calling names after making threats. They say the guy who talks the most trash tends to go down with the first punch

Uh, that was my point, dude. That's why they only made the law applicable to foreign deals and called it the foreign corrupt practices act.

So it wouldn't be illegal to do the same cotton pickin thing here.

    CAPICHE?

Yes, now I understand what you were trying to imply in your statement. I think the thing that you're missing is that bribery and other corrupt practices like that (issuing a payment to a company for preferential treatment, etc) are already corrupt and illegal. They're just not enforced.

We see all sorts of laws being broken all the time in the US by business and politicians. They just don't get prosecuted for their fraud unless they're not "playing along".

Funny you say that. I'm planning on doing the same thing. There was also a Florida militia group there in Nevada while this was going on.

It's OK and perfectly constitutional to push back against an out of control overreaching tyrannical government. And it's high time we started.
