The Offer is based on the book Leave the Gun, Take the Cannoli: The Epic Story of the Making of The Godfather ,what is supposedly very good. For a quick summary of the problems, you can just read the Wiki page of The Godfather. The TV show is excellent.
You just don't like cheeseburgers. It did seem like they ran put of money and said, okay how do we end this quickly.
I love the show but I really don't like it that they sidelined the husband so much just to give so much credit to the wife. Honestly they are wasting so much of the husband's talent and connections and everything by like sending him to get fitted for tuxedo's?? Seriously?!!! To me, the guy is just as brilliant if not more brilliant than the wife. And it doesn't make sense to put them both in roles that they are not comfortable with. The wife is obviously more comfortable in khakis working the field but she's forced into wearing gowns which actually look stunning on her and the husband is obviously a diplomat but is now forced to be a kept man. I like the dynamic in "Madam Secretary" a lot better in that the wife is the secretary of state who is brilliant in her own right but the husband's got his own career as well and shines in his own way. He works together with his wife not against her and helps her out at times. I hope they change the dyanmic a bit for the second season.
Downsizing is now on Netflix. I had seen it before and was worth another watch. Little bit of comedy, little bit tragic, fairly well acted.
