(Someone besides the fanboi answer that, please.) Why is anyone's criticism of israel automatically anti-jew? But I don't agree with the rest either. The other countries, being comprised of peoples who are not "God's chosen people", "a superior race", "the winners of more Nobel prizes per capita...", etc., may very well need assistance. But the jews, who are, by their own admission, all those things, clearly do not need assistance.
1) The vast majority of Israel, and the vast majority of Jews, are not religious and don't believe religious concepts such as the ones you have cited. Further if you knew many Jews (which you don't, because you are an old retired prison guard) you'd know that the "chosen people" meme is a reference to being "chosen" to follow the Torah, while all the other people of the world do not have to follow the Torah. 2) This thread is about Israel, but your bitch was about foreign aid. The fact is we give about the same amount of foreign aid to Jordan, Egypt, and Syria. How many nobel prizes a group of people has received per capita is a mathematical fact. It obviously makes you green with envy, but it has nothing to do with this conversation. Just because you dislike the fact that Jews have won whatever amount of nobel prizes they have won, has nothing to do with this conversation. America gives Israel the money, as a means of buying political influence over Israel, and the region for that matter. It's why they also give similar amounts to Egypt, Lebanon, Syria, etc. America wants to have a significant influence over the region. It achieves this by way of foreign aid. The amount of aid we give Israel is a small fraction of it's gdp. They could do fine without it. The fact is, they want America's political backing, so they take it. Not because they need the money, but because they feel that they need America's support. Of course, we can't expect a Marxist prison guard to be politically savvy enough to understand this now can we?
