    Couple questions re neoticker:

For equities are IB and MB the only broker partners available? Hope not.

With an esig data feed to get 500 viewable symbols thats 185 a month.
Add the platform fee monthly and say ninja for execution.. the costs add up.

    Where is the advantage?

Is the eod and real time scanner included in the price of neoticker say monthly ? or is that another add on charge?

    1) No. Works with IB. Cybertrader/Real Tick. However IB especially can be problematic. Mostly on IBs end. Constant TWS upgrades do not sit well in terms of stability of NT.
Even NT user guide does not recommend that combo.

    2) The advantage of NT? It is the most powerful software Ive ever seen. Of course getting the program to run hassle free trumps anything else. I cant believe Im saying this but Esignal seems to be your best chance of consistent use. But you're right. For the $ other options available.

    3) 2 versions of NT. Eod. And real time. Eod used to be an incredible bargain at $40. License good forever. Now I think its $400. Scanner included. You're better off with NT RT which can scan EOD as well as ID. The scanner is as good as anything out there. Including Radarscreen, Insight etc. With Esig data you can filter 2000 symbols via any criteria you can imagine. And some you cant. Very, very powerful scanner. No extra charge for either scanner.

Sure seems like getting the software to work with other vendors is problematic and hit or miss...not what you want with trading.
If this platform that great why are not more using it.

  4. For direct order placement, retail stock brokerage support are limited to IB and MB only at the moment.

For forex, we now support MB, EFX, FXCM, IB.

NeoTicker's advantage is its ability to fully utilize the data you get from eSignal, down to every single tick, bid, and ask update.

It is also the only platform giving you the ability to conduct environment simulation.

These advance features are useful for professional traders, and not necessarily useful for beginners.

There are multiple scanning mechanisms in NeoTicker - depending on the type of scanning you want to do, you can choose among the tools (pattern scanner, scanworkshop, quote window, etc.) to get the job done.

  6. One thing I learned from running a software business is that users who are satisfied with our service will not even discuss in public forum about their usage experience.

NeoTicker is a professional trading platform, not a entry level software for trading. Thus, most of our clients are experienced pro traders and firm traders. Although NeoTicker is gaining exposure in the retail side, it is still a small portion of our client base.

I always recommend traders stay with the platforms they are most comfortable with because the software you use must be compatible with your trading style.

  7. Its always up to the brokerages to be willing to work with us.

Providing a working "API" is a good start :)

We are talking to a few brokerages - if something work out, you will see more brokerages supported. e.g. We just added FXCM.

    Question concerning scan workshop.

If you sign up for esignal basic as the data feed it says you can view 100 at a time.
Does that mean that scan workshop is limited to the same viewable number meaning you would only be scanning 100 stocks? or can you scan entire list of stocks in Naz and NYSE then have your filters spit out the matches realtime?
