  1. "Marital privilege" yaddi dah, yaddi dah.

Guess she didnt have anything to say that she thought might help him.

That's fine. Bruce has already been demoted and moved to a holding pattern position. Quite a fall. He was once head of counterintelligence for the FBI.

But the fbi has plenty of avenues for prosecuting him just based on texts and christopher steele's testimony. Just go ahead and indict him. Maybe Nellie will get "marital privileges" when he is in the big house. Little joke there.

It's being played as spousal communication. It's more like spousal testimonial immunity.

  3. Sorta. It depends on what she feels she is up against based on the fbi is confronting them with.

Marital Privilege allows her to refuse to testify about any confidential communications between husband and wife. Period. Even if it is just a civil case or a non-criminal deposition or an inquiry by a congressional committee. If however things have progressed to the point where she feels her testimony is being used as testimony in a criminal proceedings against her husband it becomes spousal testimonial immunity. ie. she cannot be compelled to testify against her husband- a means of remaining silent without invoking the fifth for yourself.

Whatever, she is lawyered up and knows that whatever she has to say is not good for Hubby. Whether in a civil proceedings, a congressional hearing, or a criminal proceedings. Gets complicated too depending on the state you are in what the fed law is. Gets complicated too. I am not sure that she can waive her privilege without Bruces permission. ie. it is confidentiality within a marriage that he is legally entitled to rely upon. Not trying to get persnickity. Just saying that if the fbi really wanted Bruce they would give her immunity and then compel her to testify. I think, though he still has the right to suppress her testimony. Not sure. They got stuff on him from plenty of other sources. Hopefully they will indict him just because she is being a difficult bitch.

The overarching point is that the rats are all cannibalizing each other now, and you gotta have a plan to either kill or be killed in regard to your fellow rats.

    It's a beautiful thing.

Hahahaha. A criminal referral kinda puts the damper on things.
