Just when you think is cracked market conditions go and change and rip me a new 1 lol Some good trades, some bad, more bad ofcourse. Guess i need 2 systems, 1 6sma based for fast direction, and a wide 9sma based for slower chop. Simples
Quickie test, DAX 6sma logic then see how 6sma would of worked yesterday. I did delete all lines and try to trade naked, but hells no, nothing to ground myself on, the chart becomes meaningless sadly. Great directional till 12pm, then the chop logic works nicely via the 6sma Overlayed the 9sma 0.05 range, don't get many entries which creates bored and stupid trades, ie gambles, both together actually looks ideal, there are some setups and it gives a slightly nicer trend view, use the 6's range but the 9's direction kinda maybe. Thursday SUCKED, Wednesday I made okay profits so guess test Wednesday! Wednesday and Thursday both nice to be fair to be fair!!! Also, trading too many pairs, should specialise in DAX, but DAX dead at times, EJ's pretty sweet, so dumping US30 and GU. Also, if I finally get around to entering correctly with the trend and the trend holds, then I need to HOLD longer, need to make more $$$'s to offset the losses, obviously. Only -$200 on the week, was +$300 before the last 2 stupid days, then -$500 area on them. Account is getting beaten up badly, just below 2K here
Method looking sweet on EJ this night. 6 and 9 in combo calling it well, just know the matter of switching brain on and putting $$'s in harms way. I also HATE SL's, the second I start using SL, my stress goes up and blips take the SL's out and my losses start pilling on guess I should stop using SL's and manually kill trades that are turning. Just accept the odd knock or 3 from this way. Sleep, work and try to trade same time, but errr sometimes goes well, other times not so well!
Well another day same old same old Stuff that works 10mins ago, doesnt work for the next 10mins,in short it's all BS 2mins ago i was going to drop all lines and just trade of cluster areas, quite liking a 4sma 0.04 mae. But main focus, clusters, ie 3 or 4 bars of no new lows/highs get in low, tight SL, then 4sma to stay in longer. I've woken up and the un cluttered chart has meaning again
Anyone else got the opinion that I have totally lost my mind ? Cause I'm really starting to suspect it lol 4based sucks today, useless, trend to fast to be valid, entry range to wide and slow, on a choppy day like today. So..... 6sma for direction to join ( not tried slower yet, might change lol ) Mae 3sma 0.02, use this tiny fast range for scalping with 6? Direction. Additional, Ive tried similar before, market to fast, market move to lower 3 me hesitate, get in late, waste too many pts. Got to move to limit order, i track up inside the 3, to get that spike reverse, good price.
Started Min Lot Size testing, ie $0.10 per pt on DAX, doing okay so far !!! Bit of a Moment, Set Limit order ( never used before ), hit Place Order and nothing happens, errrm, hit it hit it, hit it, that's odd, errrmmmm, then Bleep, Order Successful pops up, hit okay, and again, and again, had 32 orders filled LOL so $3.20 per pt, not an issue, thank feck for a close all feature in 1 click +$9 on that trade. Realising, GOT TO FOCUS hard, so 1 chart only, DAX being the baby as EJ comms/spread to high I need the resolution to accurately set the Limits so full screen and portrait required. Set Limit Sell X points above, but on the screen with SL, move Limit into play when I have a clear direction to enter, then immediately move the SL into play doesn't move with, Shorts are easy as Bid Line, ahhhhh eureka I can change my charts to work by ASK when I'm after a Long then flip to BID to see the SL exit better and vice versa for shorts, NICEEEE Long at 10162 just filled, weak, out 66 +4pts !! do me for day 1
Ever enter on chart patterns? One thing about growing older, slow is far better than fast indicators, less signals are better than too many, who cares if we miss a trend. Automation allows you to find best parameters and make sure on each side of parameters it is still profitable. Great trades don't hang around, "they" are trying to entice you to stay longer to make you lose. "Hanging Around" will make you lose the money fellas. Ask a woman is she wants to hang around a loser- she's out of there, and yet men go into hope mode, why is that? Too much ego, too much muscles and lack of muscle between ears? I was like exactly that before I learned to program.
No more trades, but looking PERFECT as a scalping tool with the REALLY REALLY short term 6sma based Momo, a move to the low 3mae 0.03 does in no way invalidate the Momo, although obviously the momo might change anyway. Need to be super careful on news times, ZERO orders open, might be 20pts away ready to move in, but news could fill it then blow through 50pts costing me dear in 2seconds.
