Get a blood test for diabetes. If you are over weight this may be the cause. If you have type 1 or 2 then you will need to get your weight down but most importantly your sugar levels. This disease is possible to live with but you need to have a vegetable and fruit diet. Very little sugar, fat and salt or it will kill you. You may need pills called Metaformin. Change your doctor too.
The pancreas suddenly stops being able to digest the sugar etc. No chocolate, sweets, white bread etc.
    Good luck
PS be very careful not to cut yourself as healing again is hard and lengthy.

    Sgee....
Exact same here. Same MRI results and everything. From years of running and golf.
Try one of these the next time (and it surely will) start acting up. These are not snake oil. They really really really work. Its the best $30 I have EVER spent.

EDIT.... Can't post Amazon link. (?) Look these up on AMZN http://www.thegoodbody.com/what-is-the-best-tens-unit/

Interesting. I have occasional numbness (and some pins and needles) in my right leg! Tends to be the thigh region. I went to the doctor who didn't have a clue (but did examine me rather well, including a rectal exam!). My coach doesn't know either.

I have this tendency, when sitting, of placing my elbow onto my thigh. I'm wondering if that is the cause (e.g. might be blocking a nerve or something). So i'm weaning myself off this habit. Will see if this is the cause.

Other things might be doing unilateral leg presses...i don't know.

  4. I am 5ft 8 and 180.

My sugar levels and all the usual blood results were all within the safe range last year.
I have eaten very little bread since last Fall when the doc told me to avoid Gluten, white bread and wheat bread.

NO chocolate?...........I eat some every day.....I love chocolate........I hope it's not that bad....:(

When I see the second doctor on the 26th I'll ask about the Metaformin.

    Thanks

  5. I don't go to the gym anymore but I exercise at home.
My confidence level is that I may have twisted or torn something while exercising.
I do sit cross legged when I have my laptop on my legs.....dunno if that is the problem.

If the problem was minor it would not be existing for 6,8 weeks .....just a guess though.

    Thanks.

  6. I have heard of TENS units but never used one. Now I have an excuse.
    I'll check it out.

    Thanks

This is likely a pinched nerve.
