Cash, This doesn;t work.... Actually the cells that are updated are in another sheet , so the cells changing in this sheet are references itself, but Excel doesn;t trigger a worksheet_change event
+++++ - - - - - This adds to 0. If you have nothing to say isnât it easy just shut up ? Try ! You won't find enough big fonts otherwise
Thanks for letting me stating my point of view. Iâm not sure it is not possible but perhaps a more active role on the moderator side would also improved things and would have avoided this thread flying so low. In return you would then certainly get more quality people (that are now on the side lines) to discuss the interesting subject that originated this thread.
In IMHO the event would be better handled in VBA this is for the reasons explained in my post above (the answer to Nitro) Antonio Leite
It's a simple matter to interface to a reliable and very well supported quote handler like QuoteTracker with any of the Visual Studio tools. QT will connect with a great many data sources with a simple click of the mouse. Then you could do whatever the heck you wanted with the data and you would only need to write your data handler once. I bring in more than 2000 symbols at times and it works fine. My system is snapshot though (Money.net - not super reliable, unfortunately). Most data providers at a reasonable price for the smaller retail trader only allow about 500 symbols to be streamed. Not sure how this would all work for the OP, however. http://quotetracker.com/ http://quotetracker.com/help/QTStreamingAPI.shtml
